Recycling your baby items – good for your pocket, good for the environment

Given the short life of baby clothes, accessories and toys can be a scary expensive, especially when they are often outgrown before they need replacing. So, for this reason that makes economic and environmental sense to at least consider buying a 'nearly new' goods and sell at good quality used items.

Aside from the obvious cost savings, environmental benefits are significant to the reduced landfill as the main one. As most of these items will not be biodegradable to sit around in landfills for many years to come, and as disposable diapers, but that's another story.

like our babies and children grow quickly, their unused clothes and equipment are often in good condition and thus make the perfect items for resale. In the course of the summer is a great time to sell those unused garden toys and summer clothes.

There are several mechanisms for buying, selling and giving away items you no longer need, and include a charity shop, nearly new sales, car boot sales, classified advertisements in newspapers, Freecycle, online auction sites i.Potonji three eliminate rattle as it is all done online (definitely a perk if you have small children in tow!), and you just need to leave the house to collect or publish your item.

On May seem obvious, but in order to attract the best price for your item that is really worth taking the time to wash and iron clothes, and grobags, wipe down toys and clean your stroller. Whichever method you use to sell, the better things look faster it will sell for a good price. In order to avoid disappointed customer is always fair to describe your goods and only sell items in the balance you want to buy. As a rough rule of thumb, you can sell items for between 30-50% of their original retail prices, although this can vary, and you May get more expensive stroller in good condition.

There are some things you should avoid buying second-hand, however, that the seat and bed mattresses. Car seats may be fine to use if you are getting them from a trusted friend or relative as you must be sure not to crash because it will reduce their effectiveness. Second hand baby mattresses should also be avoided if possible, as recommended.

So, have fun browsing and bargain hunting, dig out those unused items from the attic or garage, make up for some money and do your bit for the environment. In the current economic climate is a great way to earn some money and buy some bargains for your kids!
